Jose Ben Cura AKA Ben Cura is an actor, director, writer, and producer born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was born in a working-class family where his father Jose Cura was an Argentine tenor. His parents welcomed him on September 30, 1988. When he was one year old, his family moved to Santo Stefano Belbo, Italy in search of a better life.

Growing up, he visited different places as his family continued changing the places. At the age of six years old, his family again moved to France. He repeatedly traveled to the USA and Europe when he was living in France. Cura couldn’t make deep friendships with his friends as he had to shift to new places every time. While in France, he joined the local school called French Lyce. At the age of eleven, again his parents ended up settling in Spain. After that, he moved to London with his family forever.

Ben Cura has two younger siblings named Yazmin and Nicolas. His parents struggled really hard to make his childhood stable. They left no stone unturned to raise their children as a normal child.

Ben started his academic journey from France. He went to a local school located in France for his primary education. He grew up surrounded by people who understood his interest and trusted the signs that their child showed up while growing up. His parents nurtured him with great love, care, and support. He feels lucky to have raised by parents who understood his interest and helped him to change his dream into reality.

As he had an interest in movies from a young age, he chose to join the New York Film Academy in Paris. He even joined the piano and solfege classes to gain some music lessons. After graduating from Film Academy, he further went to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Ben was honored with a bachelor’s degree in professional acting in 2011. Following the theoretical and practical knowledge, he gained during his academic journey, Ben successfully launched himself as an actor, director, writer, and producer.

Ben Cura started his acting career at the age of nine. He starred as a supernumerary in a production of La Forza del Destino at the Opera de Marseille, France. However, his performance wasn’t noticed. Ben made his first movie debut in British independent movie Comes a Bright Day. The movie was released in 2012. Ben portrayed the character of Mr. Sullivan in the movie. Then, the following year he appeared in Bernard Rose’s The Devil Violinist. Likewise, the same year the movie was awarded ‘Award of Excellence Feature Film’ by IndieFest Film Awards. In 2016, the movie was able to take home Gold Award Feature Film, Silver Remi Experimental Dogma, Silver Award Best Feature Film and many more. Creditors gave a big break to Ben’s career. The debuted writer shares his experience as:

“You need to be realistic when writing the script and choosing what sort of story you are going to be filming. It’s all well and good if you want to film a war epic, but it’s likely going to be nearly impossible to raise the budget for it. Creditors was a natural fit from the start as it’s essentially a chamber piece. You could, when all is said and done, point a camera at some good actors, and come out the other end with a film. Obviously, we didn’t simply do that, but you can at least ballpark the budget somewhere realistic if you start early.”

His other notable movies include White Island (2016), Gun Shy (2017), Postcards from London (2018), 15 minutes de Guerre (2018), and Gatecrash (2018). Besides, showing his acting skills in movies, Ben Cura has also worked on the television. Before making his debut in the big screens, he appeared on the TV series ‘Threesome’ in 2011. Further, in 2016 he portrayed the role of Mathew Neil in Marcella. In addition, he has Silent Witness (2017), Ransom (2018), and The Rook (2019).

Doomed Marriage and Current Relationship

Ben Cura fell in love with his co-partner actress Andrea Deck while working together. Andrea Deck is an actress best known for her voice role as Amanda Ripley in Alien: Isolation’s-incidentally, she is also the graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art just like Ben. The duo tied the knot after sharing the courtship for some time. They tied the knot in 2013 at a private wedding ceremony. She is nursing her broken heart along with the disease. As per Daily Mail, they tried their best to save their relationship, but things went out of their control. The Daily Mail Uk reported:

“They wanted to make it work but it proved too difficult, with their jobs pulling them in different directions. Olfa will bounce back, though, as always.”
