Known for her powerful vocals and songwriting skills, English singer Adele has been dominating the music industry ever since she debuted with her album 19. Every time her new music is released, her soulful music and relatable lyrics are always praised by both critics and casual listeners.

How Old is Angelo Adkins?
Angelo Adkins was born on October 19, 2012. His parents, singer Adele and charity CEO Simon Konecki had begun dating in 2011. His birth was not publicly announced until 2013. Angelo also has an older half-sister from his father’s previous marriage.
Adele announced her pregnancy in June through her blog. She wrote:
I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news directly from me, obviously, we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.
His Name Was Initially Kept a Secret
Adele tried her best in keeping Angelo’s name a secret after his birth. A few months after his birth, Adele thanked her newborn at Golden Globe Awards when she bagged the ‘Best Original Song’ title for the song Skyfall. At the same event, when the media asked her about her son, she refused to reveal any details about him. She said:
I am not sharing his name at the moment. It is very personal to me. I am enjoying him on my own.
However, later in the same month, Adele was spotted wearing a gold necklace featuring the name ‘Angelo’ while she visited West Hollywood baby Boutique Bel Bambini.
Angelo is a Football Fan Like His Mother
Most of the people living in the UK are supporting one of the football clubs in the country. We all know that Adele is known to be an avid follower of Tottenham Hotspur. Like his mother, Angelo also seems to have a keen interest in the club and enjoys watching the different leagues played all year round.
Angelo’s Parents were Together for Almost 8 years
Even though Angelo’s mother is one of the biggest names in the music industry, she has always kept a low profile regarding her personal life. Adele and Simon started dating in 2011 and after welcoming a son together a year later, the couple seemed to be going very strong.
In early 2017, it was reported that Angelo’s parents Adele and Simon have secretly married after being photographed with matching rings on their ring fingers. The same year while accepting her award for the album of the year at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, during her acceptance speech she addressed Konecki as her husband. She did the same during one of her concerts in Brisbane, Australia.
However, in 2021 during an interview with British Vogue, Adele revealed that the couple had actually married in 2018 and separated the same year. In April 2019, the representatives at Adele’s side confirmed that the couple had indeed separated but affirmed that they would be co-parenting their young son.
On September 13, 2019, Adele filed for divorce from her husband Simon Konecki and it was finalized on the 4th of March, 2021.
Angelo is being Raised With More Grounded Values
Despite being one of the most famous people on the face of the earth, Adele has made it clear that she doesn’t want her son to be raised among all the glitz and glamour. When Angelo was only three years old, his mother sat down for an interview with TIME and said:
“I’m very self-conscious that I have a kid, and I don’t want him to be one of those who grow up being like ‘Driver, driver! I have no clean clothes!’ Well, have you washed them? I really don’t want him growing up like that. I’m very conscious of it.”
Adele sued the paparazzi over Angelo’s photograph
Adele has always been adamant about raising her son out of public scrutiny. She has mostly kept her son away from social media. In 2014, she sued the paparazzi after her son’s photos were leaked to the public. Adele’s solicitor Jenny Afia told the high court that Adele was emphatic and her son Angelo was not and must never be public property. Afia told:
It is a matter of profound sadness that many of his milestone moments such as his first family outing and his first trip to playgroup were photographed and published worldwide expressly against his family’s wishes.
Apparently, Adele ended up winning the case and was awarded a hefty sum in damages.
Adele’s album ‘30’ was Dedicated to Angelo
The album ‘30’ centres mostly around Adele’s divorce from her husband and in a way telling her son about why the relationship did not work for them. In one of the songs called ‘My Little Love’, the singer sings directly to her son and even his voice features in-between verses.
There are snippets of conversation between Angelo and his mother recorded via voice notes revealing their heartbreaking talk.
‘I feel like you don’t love me,’ we hear Angelo say to which his mother responds:
“You know, mummy doesn’t like anyone else like I like you, right? Mummy’s been having a lot of big feelings lately, I’m confused and I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m sorry if what I’ve done makes you feel sad.”
In another recording, Adele tells her son, “I love your dad ‘cos he gave you to me. You’re half me, half daddy.”
Angelo is Adele’s Soulmate
Even though Angelo’s parents are not together anymore, he is being raised with love from both parents. There is no animosity between Adele and her ex-husband. During her talk on The Graham Norton Show, Adele talked about her modern family and said, “Our family is separated but we’re nailing it and doing a really, really good job.” She gushed about her family adding, “They are my little soulmates – Angelo and Simon.”
