Elizaveta Boyarskaya Wiki Bio: Everything You need to know about the charming actress

Elizaveta Boyarskaya

Liza’s childhood and youth

Elizaveta Boyarskaya was born in St. Petersburg to the family of famous Russian actors Mikhail Boyarsky and Larisa Luppian. The girl had to put a lot of effort to escape from the shadow of her family’s fame and prove that her success is the result of her own hard work and talent. At the first stages of her career, Elizaveta had no shortage of popularity among Russian filmmakers and main roles in the projects of famous directors.

At the age of 15, Boyarskaya unexpectedly got her first role. One day, a telephone rang in the Boyarskys’ apartment. Liza picked up the phone, and the voice on the other end asked whether he could speak to her father, Mikhail, but the actor was on set at that moment. Then the voice asked if Liza would like to play in a movie. The girl agreed.

Although the role wasn’t that big, and the movie itself was rather dark (Boyarskaya played a young drug addict named Alice in a thriller), it was a start. The job didn’t impress her, so Liza decided that she wouldn’t follow in her folks’ footsteps.

In middle school, Liza never showed much will to study; she desperately tried not to lag behind with the help of tutors. But outside the classroom, she led an active life: she attended a model school and was engaged in jazz and classical dances. But in high school, the girl pushed hard and became one of the most outstanding students. She did it to get the highest mark possible to enter the faculty of journalism, but a couple of months before the entrance examinations, Liza suddenly realized that this was absolutely not what she wanted to do. The introductory courses at the faculty of her dreams brought her nothing but disappointment. After visiting the opening of the educational theater, the girl changed her views on acting and decided to become the ninth professional actor in the family.

There wasn’t much time for preparation. Liza applied to the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatrical Art. During entrance examinations, no one pampered the girl because of her name. On the contrary, instead of a short, ten-minute interview that other applicant passed, Boyarskaya had to spend an hour proving that she deserves to join the ranks of students. As a result, Liza got what she wanted – a chance to show what she’s capable of.

Acting career

The girl plunged into the study of the basics of acting. Already as a student, Boyarskaya received the first major role. The girl brilliantly performed on the stage of the Maly Drama Theater in the play “King Lear,” playing the role of Goneril, for which she even won a prestigious award.

In 2003, she got the main female role in the Russian drama called Half-Day Demon. Then was an episode in the TV series where her character, Nastya, was lured into a satanic sect.

In 2004, she began receiving more offers from directors. During this period, Liza was busy filming the German-Italian military drama Downfall by Oliver Hirschbiegel where she appeared as a nurse Erna. A year later, the girl received her first major role in the national cinema – the actress played a young girl who was hopelessly in love with a submariner in the military drama The First after God. Since then, her career has been developing rapidly.

Liza’s personal life

On July 28, 2010, Elizaveta married a Russian actor Maxim Matveyev. On April 7, 2012, the couple welcomed their first son, Andrey. Liza Boyarskaya continued to perform on stage until the sixth month of pregnancy, and just 3 months after giving birth, she resumed her career. Lisa tries not to appear in public with her kids often since she knows what it feels like to be the daughter of a celebrity.
